Dear comrades and friends

Day after day, the depth of the crisis of the new world system becomes clearer. The system was praised by its supporters as the end of history and the fined victory of capitalism, and this is failing now.

The economic crisis that developed in the stock markets and virtual economy quickly spread to the real economy where millions of workers and small owners pay its price. The crisis expresses the structural problem of neoliberal capitalism adapted by the neo conservatives in USA and around the world.
Imperialism is also facing real problems in its war against so- called "terrorism". It has one goal in its different fronts: control of resources, in spite of all propaganda about democratization and liberalization.
They have different tools, war and occupation in Iraq, Palestine and Afghanistan; sanctions and threats in Cuba, Korea, Iran and others; local instabilities and agitation are in Lebanon, Bolivians, Sudan and other; and support of dictator regions as in the gulf countries, Egypt, Jordan, Columbia among many.
On the other side, the resistance and opposition movement among the people of the world is growing as what happens in Latin America and among the people of our region.
The contradictions between global powers are back to the scene under the economic great of china, and the renewal of the political and military role of the new capitalist Russia. The objecting countries and resisting people are benefiting from those contradictions.
In this complicated international and regional situation, comes shabeeba Bahrain to take a step towards deepening, coordinating and activating the struggle for a new world.
In WFDY, the international organization spread in 144 countries including shabeeba-Bahrain, we struggle to unify the efforts and develop international solidarity among the youth of the world in their common struggles. Our organization conducts tens of international activities around the world every year and participates in tens of other events. Now we are working on a solidarity mission to Palestine people against occupation and death practiced by Israel. We also prepare a big international activity in Cuba in solidarity with the 5 Cuban heroes detained in USA. We are currently working to make several seminars on the right of free and public education for all.

And because we understand the importance of this region in the struggle and the importance of presence of mass organizations fighting against imperialism and local backward policies, we will give more care to develop our relations with the gulf organization through shabeeba to form a network of active struggles.
The gulf suffers from major problems like the presence of tens of US military bases used in wars causing the death of thousands of people in the region. This also costs the local economies tens of billions of dollars, and re orients the excess of oil money back to the US through huge military deals to buy weapons that were never and will never be used. The people of the region dream of more political freedom and social rights, including the right to form political organizations and parties while the governments work to prevent the people dreams and keep the suppressed.

This region needs working for equality and progress, democracy, social justice and real liberation, and this is what shabeeba does.

This is why we will be with shabeeba in its struggles, with the youth of Bahrain in education and housing rights, for freedom and democracy with the youth of the gulf in rejecting occupation and military bases, with Iraqi people for peace and independence, with Palestinian resistance for the right of independent state on the Palestinian soil and for the right of return and for defeat of Zionism.
